Demand Netflix to Provide Warnings for People Who Live With Seizures!

Hello everybody, I hope you can stand with me on this issue and put your voice out there, along with mine, so that we can make a change.

I have surrounded myself with a few people who have seizure disorders (some epileptic, some non), and I have recently noticed that there are little-to-no credible and up-to-date resources on the internet to warn others of possible scenes in shows and movies that could cause seizures in those who experience them when they are triggered by external stimuli, whether it be sound, flashing lights, or even distressing images. This can be even as subtle as a scene with police cars or a gun fight. This is especially apparent on Netflix, where there isn't even a card or notification that warns the viewer of one or more possible scenes that could cause them (the viewer) to have a seizure.

I want Netflix, and even other major streaming services that don't have a warning-like notification, to add it to all of the media they currently offer to streamers, and all future pieces of media they add to their streaming services too, as well as distinct time spot warnings of these possibly triggering scenes. I want these to be permanent additions to these platforms so we don't have countless stories of people with photosensitivity watching a movie or a show and experiencing a seizure. Photosensitive seizures are an issue that's been dismissed by the media. A large result of this is that there are little resources for people with photosensitive seizures to know what media are seizure-safe and what media aren't. With a little bit of digging I could only find photosensitive warnings for Ant Man and The Incredibles 2, both films being popular that plenty of people have seen. This, though, does not always extend to less popular or publicized films with intense flashing. This is a serious issue, and it's an issue that hasn't been discussed enough.

By signing this petition, you will be adding your voice to aid those who live with photosensitive seizures and allow them to enjoy some of the same things that people without seizures do.
