WE NEED DUI REFORM in the State of Kentucky

Tiffany Pittman, 19 was driving under the influence and caused a fatal accident in which she is now being charged with the murder of Jimmy Harper, 46, father of 2, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Pittman's blood alcohol level was at .098 when she hit the car driven by Jimmy Harper. She was scheduled to stand trial today, August 29,2012 however her trial was postponed until December as "new" evidence surfaced. Reform should be made to the DUI laws that offer a more no tolerance approach. Her DUI was proven on SCENE. The underlying facts of that DUI are that her selfish and irresponsible actions had a direct affect on not only the Life of Jimmy Harper which was lost, but that of his 2 sons who now have to grow up without a father, his family, and his community. Leniency to Tiffany based off her current economic status, age and motherhood should not be given. The proof of her DUI is there and we feel stricter laws requiring a mandatory number of years for defendants who committ DUI crimes should be in place. She is currently in the Marshall County Jail, and we feel this time should not go toward any "time served" leniencies . Please sign our petition today to show our politicians we want REFORM and we want it NOW. In Jimmy Harper's name we will not let him die in Vain.
