PETITION TO AMEND GHA SPONSORED PATIENT ALLOWANCE

I am taking this opportunity for the people of Gibraltar to help in signing this petition regarding the new GHA sponsored patient allowance for the following reasons.
The new sponsored patient allowance system has been changed from £33 for patient and £33 for escort, depending on household income. The new allowance is only £25 for patient and escort. Everyone will receive the same allowance.
We are pleased that everybody is getting equal amount, but what this petition is asking is for the escort to get the same amount of financial help.
The reason we are asking for this petition, is that this new system is going to affect frequent patients and escort that travel to uk for medical purposes and low-income families that unfortunately must go. Being sick or having a sick family member is a stressful situation and very expensive. Before it was very tight to survive with the patient and escort income, so imagine with this new allowance.
I would kindly ask the people of Gibraltar to stand together in this matter for the future health problems that can arise to any of us.
