Demand an end to Abuse, Violence and Molestation

The attack of Baltimore running back Ray Rice on his fiancée, now wife in an elevator. As a survivor of domestic abuse, abduction and rape as a young woman, this really struck a familiar emotion of fear in me. Violence, domestic abuse and molestation are much too commonplace against women and men as well in our society. Even now as a senior citizen no matter how hard I try I can never be rid of this crisis. I find that in some way or somehow issues concerning this kind of ugly crime will continue to be brought to the forefront. It seems like a lifelong kind of unpleasant punishment as a survivor of these offenses. Although there are punishments such as prison time, fines and counseling that may be effective solutions to some degree. However, I think we need to look at another alternative to deal with this situation. I feel that one way to confront this problem is to have a mandatory educational course in schools for males and females on how to define, cope and deal with male and female way of life. How to safely logically and rationally deal with life’s challenges. How to come to grips with domestic violence, abuse and molestation. This should not only be mandatory but require accredited proof that students have taken and passed this course. I consider this to be a life-threatening concern. I believe that this violent behavior is based on and instilled in our children and society in early stages of their lives. I believe children grow up believing that abusive behavior is acceptable and may be necessary.
