Self proclaimed comedian and podcast host, Heather McDonald of Los Angeles, Ca, is the host of a podcast show hosted on a for-profit site called PATREON. On Patreon, people (anyone) can pay anywhere from $5- $20 a month to listen to personal stories that Heather's calls " too juicy" for her free and public podcast, Juicy Scoop on Midroll Media.
Her patreon podcast began with her telling the story of a custody battle between her husband and the mother of his daughter, who happens to be of Asian decent. Heather reads, transcripts from audio recordings and court files in exaggerated, racist accent and mocks her step- daughters trials and tribulations.
She has now resorted to reading letters from her impriosned brother who is mentally ill. It started with her and her husband reading and mocking his letters for help. And now Heather's equally disgusting husband and 'manager' Peter Dobias, has gone so far as to send her brother material such as the popular book written by transgender personality, Caitlyn Jenner, for him to read and mail back to them his thoughts. They then read and mock his review for money.
These self-proclaimed entertainers are making upwards of 20 thousand dollars a month off the exploitation of both her step-daughter and her brother. She mocks race, class, citizenship, mental illness and incarceration. I can not image this is what Patreon was envisioning when it created this platform.
Patreon should NOT stand for this type of human exploitation on their site.
