Marijuana is not a drug, it's a medicine.

More than half of the United States has legalized either medical marijuana or recreational use of it. Marijuana has been shown to have many health benefits. If it were legalized in Alabama health care cost would go down and so would taxes. It makes no sense that ciggarettes and alchol are legal but marijuana is not. Cigarettes and alchol do more damage to your body. To be honest im not a very qualified person to be doing this petition, i mean im just a kid but this is something ive felt very strongly about for a while. I'll tell you the truth, ive seen weed in alabama alot, and ive seen people smoke it before. It is no secret that theres already many people smoking it illegally. In my opinion i believe that what someone wants to put in there body is up to them. Now with dangerous drug like meth, crack, speed, and those types of drugs. I understand why there illegal, there not only dangerous for your body but they can cause harm to other people not using them. Ive never heard of anyone being harmed by marijuana use. I hope that everyone who reads this will give it consideration.
