Close Rockford Beach to Prevent More Deaths!

The river at Rockford Beach Park in House Springs, Missouri is highly dangerous. There have been many deaths at the site & the current is way too strong to swim in. Recently, 14-year-old Devon Lavelle Cotton disappeared in the water. After his body was found, his father called for the beach to be closed. And in 2014, another boy drowned at the site. 

Even professional swimmers have a hard time swimming with that current. There are "swim at your own risk" signs, but for this beach, it's simply not enough to address the danger. 

I am starting this petition to try and close Rockford Beach in attempt to stop any other family from experiencing such heartache.

Rockford Beach has temporarily been closed for the army to come in for purposes of specting the dams & currents. But we are looking for permanent closing to swimming purposes only. So please people keep the signatures & shares coming. We need any help that we can get. We Are not trying to prevent this "devil river" (what I like to call it) from those who like to fish and boat, simply just swimming. Thank to anyone and everyone who has supported.

We need justice for Scotty, Devon & all the other souls lost to this dangerous place!
