Shark Fin Soup

Is popular among the Chinese cuisine, and is usually served a lot, and is for special occasions, such as weddings and banquets.

The fins used are cartilaginous dorsal, pectoral and caudal fins.

In 2011, California banned the sale of shark fins and shark fin soup.

In shark fin soup, the fins themselves are virtually tasteless.

So why eat them?
