Stop Uranium Mining in Patagonia

Patagonia, a land famous for its uncontaminated wilderness and wildlife, is under threat from URANIUM MINING and the toxic, radioactive particles this releases. This will harm not only the wild animals and human inhabitants but put the health of the thousands of tourists who visit Patagonia each year at risk.The fine particles travel thousands of kilometers, falling on the land, and waters, contaminating everything.
Uranium is an alpha emitter, it causes cancer. Uranium is genotoxic. It is the cause of birth defects. Uranium in an endocrine disruptor and is the cause of breast cancer and cancer of the uterus in women.
Uranium is the second-most toxic substance on Earth. It is the cause of immunological disease. It attacks the kidneys and the nerve system, causing  lupus and autism.Uranium produces Polonium the MOST toxic substance on the planet. The only way to stop Uranium mining in Chubut is through international pressure - from all the tens of thousands of people who have visited Patagonia and the tens of thousand more who want to go. Please, email the Governor of Chubut, email the Argentine embassy in your country. Save Patagonia from the horrors of Uranium mining.
