Stop messaging capabilities on childrens downloadable games!

I am a stepmother of two children who own tablets. In this day and age what kids don't own a tablet, ipod or some device of this kind? I have always seen myself as a cautious parent who closely monitors what my kids are doing. Today I found out that through the game "Fun Run" my children have been receiving messages from a 24 year old man that randomly friended them. They claim he has never asked them anything inappropriate, but he has asked them how old they are. Hearing this instantly sent chills up my spine, and it makes me wonder why these childrens games need to contain messaging capabilities at all? I am starting a petition to have this capability removed from games that are meant for children, or at the very least they should require some sort of proof of age before these features can be activated. I will be submitting this petition to the apple store, the play store and any other "store" that provides these free downloads to tablets and ipods. Please join me in the fight to keep our children safe and keep potential predators out of our homes!
