Tell TV networks to stop airing SeaWorld ads

Dear TV Networks,

I am contacting you to ask you to stop airing SeaWorld ads on on your TV networks. SeaWorld is responsible for one of the worst cases of animal slavery in United States and Australian history. The marine wildlife they are keeping in fishbowls at SeaWorld belong and need to be in the wild. They are forced to do tricks and kept sedated with drugged fish. They are in terrible physical condition, showing sunburns all over their bodies due to being exposed to the sun 24/7 in those tanks in hot, sun soaked San Diego, Orlando, San Antonio and Australia. In the wild they are able to avoid the sun by swimming at lower depths and they are meant to live in much colder climates such as the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. The trainers paint over the whales' sunburns with black zinc oxide in an attempt to hide their sunburns from the public. The whales have dents and gauges all over their bodies from ramming their heads and bodies into the tanks to attempt to get free and their teeth are grinded down from biting the edges of the glass enclosures in an attempt to get free. 

In 1989 one of the killer whales, a 14 year old female killer whale named Kandu, died of a hemorrhage caused by a bite from another killer whale she was forced to perform with. The other killer whale, a 25 year old whale name Corky who was 2000 pounds heavier than Kandu, fractured Kandu's upper jaw when he bit her, causing fatal hemorrhaging into Kandu's nasal passages. Kandu was seen hemorrhaging massive spouts of blood from her blowhole until she died soon after the attack.

Right after the attack in 1989, Marine Biologist Dr. Deeble was interviewed by The New York Times about the attack and he said "Although [killer whales] are rapacious animals, they do not kill each other in the wild...Kandu's death is therefore an indication that something is wrong at Sea World...the level of aggression [has] surpassed the ritualistic displays of aggression found in the wild."

Dr. Deeble said the aggression Corky displayed towards Kandu is a sign of extreme anger and mental illness that these killer whales at SeaWorld develop due to being forced to live in a tiny tank and perform tricks. ''Even a four-million-gallon enclosure,'' Dr. Deeble said, referring to the Sea World performance pool, ''is a tiny pool for killer whales because these animals in the wild swim over a hundred miles a day.'' ''An orca in captivity is like an eagle in a parakeet cage,'' he said, ''except in this instance they maybe tried to put two eagles in a parakeet cage, and one dead animal is the result.''

The killer whales are in awful psychological condition. They display all the signs of having being driven to insanity and depression that are always seen in captive wildlife. The SeaWorld trainers actually sexually violate the whales by masturbating the males whales and then saving their sperm and forcing it into the female whales via a sperm inseminating pump so they can force the female whales to get pregnant. It's disgusting. They rape the whales.

And of course there's the killer whales who finally lash out and kill their SeaWorld trainers. Killer whales are the king of the ocean in the wild, and yet at SeaWorld they are reduced to being these trainers' circus slave. It's disgusting, sickening, and extremely sad.

Please stop running SeaWorld ads on your TV networks. SeaWorld is paying to advertise recently because they know they're about to go out of business now that the world knows how evil they are. Thus I beg you to stop airing SeaWorld's lie filled propaganda commercials on your TV networks.
