The citizens of Ashe County do not want Sheriff Terry Buchanan as their Sheriff. He has not shown the skills to maintain this position, nor the background. Buchanan can not work well with others, which is vital to our community. His actions with other county offices has brought shame to his position and to the sheriffs department. Buchanan has bullied and intimidated local offices, county seats, county employees, and citizens. Terry oversteps his position constantly, leaving uncertainty for Ashe County's future, breaking laws and breaking protocol. Terry has lied on his resume, giving false information or lack of. He is not allowed in certain county offices for making scenes and intimidating with his power. Terry has ruined the lives of many former employees, with a vendetta about abolishing the William's administration or anyone that may oppose him, all because he was asked to resign or be fired for trying to record another sheriff employee when employed under Williams and now has ill intentions. His temper, unprofessionalism, unstable mentality, lack of respect, power hungry narcissism is getting in the way of county business, putting unnecessary stress on county employees and inhibiting their work, causing many to resign, retire, or be fired. Certain offices, he was physically removed from and can only maintain business through that department if certain guidelines are followed, therefore disrupting balance of county affairs.
Buchanan can not lead his office well for numerous reasons, but his mental stability are in question. With the many lives Terry Buchanan has ruined and the fear of the many more he will ruin in the future, we ask for Buchanan to resign or be fired from his position. The taxpayer will NOT pay for his mistakes or poor judgement. We ask the commissioners and county attorney to find reason to proceed.
