Firstly, I am writing to inform you of the catastrophic treatment of cows on farms. As a fellow milk drinker, I have always been told by my parents that milk was beneficial to me in many ways: strengthens my bones, supports my growth and is a great source of calcium. However, after being fed the truth and uncovered secret of the process in which milk had to be made, delivered from and purified into drinkable milk had opened my eyes to many things. In writing this petition today I will surely open your eyes and hopefully make you realize the unrelenting agony and suffering these beautiful creatures.
1) On the farms, female cows are being artificially inseminated (AI) to: produce milk and calves. This milk that is harvested can only be-and always has-produced by impregnating them. However, these cows are being bred by collecting sperm from a bull, and inserting it into the uterus of a reproductive cow. There are many words which can be used to refer to this process but in reality, it is known as-and it goes without saying-rape. the act in which sexual intercourse is carried out forcibly or uunder threat of injury against the will of usually a female .
2) On these farms, cows are: tortured, tormented, abused, punished and persecuted. Most cows work in poorly managed factory conditions with surrounded by all sorts of dirty, revolting waste, where they are killed, neglected and even killed in long and painful ways that could be happening as your reading this petition.
so, my goal is to ensure that cows may only produce milk in the use of medication rather than artificial insemination,and so that they may breed as they pleed.
