Our pets are not our toys!
PetExpressions, is a new service through PetSmart that includes chalking,
stenciling and feathering your dogs to so they match the holiday, or just for fun,
or maybe so they blend with the decor.
The hues use are hand-applied and are temporary. The feathering is described as “natural feathers in handmade
arrangements that add a pop of color to your pet’s coat.”
It seems fairly harmless to the dog, and by that I mean there is nothing
in the temporary color that is dangerous to the animal. The feather accents are not permanent either.
I suspect my dog would be tempted to eat them, but I don’t know about your dog.
The pictures posted on the website are, basically, cute and the dogs all appear happy.
And I guess if we allow our children to have their faces painted, we could allow our dogs to have multi-colored paws and stars stenciled onto their coats. It’s not expensive in US —
starting at $2 for chalk, $4 for stencils and $12 for feathering, unless you live in Canada,
where all this comes with a higher price tag ($5, $6 and $12).
Are Canadian dogs just more difficult to color?
