Chris Christie: Don't Take Away 11,000 People's Food Stamps!

11,000 New Jersey residents will lose their food stamps following Chris Christie's decision to discontinue work requirement waivers.

Since 2009, New Jersey could waive a requirement that adults without children work 20 hours a week in order to receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Now that the economy has improved, Christie's administration announced that they are ending the waiver.

Despite the economy improving, there are still more job seekers than job openings. People who continue searching for jobs without success still need financial support to feed themselves.

Please sign the petition to urge Governor Chris Christie to reconsider his decision to waive work requirement waivers for SNAP benefits!
