For the last month A Step In A New Directin CC has been giving away cooked food every Saturday from 12-5pm or until the food is all gone. We also give away clothing shoes and other items that have been donated by various participants in the community. We also give the children of the community a safe haven to do arts, crafts, play and socialize. We take frequent trips to the zoo, museums and many more activites such as open mic and talent shows. The New Direction CC has team up with Un$Stop$Able Entertainment a locally own business that works with children and teenagers to young adults. We have located building that we would like your help in obtaining we need to show our Political Leaders that we are serious about taking our community back from the hood.
Un$Stop$Able Entertainment is all about promoting some of the greatest talent the world has ever seen right here in Chicago while providing a well needed mentoring program.K.O.B. is a young group of talented individuals spreading a positive influence while building bridges through performing arts. There is more to our young people aside from violence and negative activity. We are working hard to spread are positive influence, and to encourage kids of all ages to stay in school and get involved. Performing arts is a great way to close gaps in a multicultural society. We at Un$Stop$Able Entertainment are grooming our children with the old fashion community values that we ourselves were brought up on. Our project Better Foundation is vital to the success of our community. We would like to help provide a solution to the current educational system by using performing arts as a platform to help raise awareness.
The new future home of A New Step In A New Direction Community Center will be located at 8005 S. Morgan and will provide a place for seniors to come and eat, socialize and do arts and crafts. We will also have a young entrepreneur program where the children will learn autmotive, carpentry, landscaping and more. There will also be a floor dedicated to the performing arts as well that will allow our children to showcase their talents and explore their creativity.
