Save Thanksgiving 2015! Put a stop to early " Black Friday"!

Over the past few years, retailers have been opening earlier and earlier for Black Friday sales. The reason for this is so the retailers can keep up with any and all sale competitors. This year several retailers are opening at 5 p.m. Thanksgiving evening, this gives people (mainly retail workers) hardly any time to spend with their families.That is what this petition is for, to demand that all retailers may only start Black Friday sales no earlier than 12 a.m. Friday morning. Thursday already has a name and it's Thanksgiving! Lets take it back!

This is a request for all retailers to cease infringement on Thanksgiving for Black Friday sales. The issue is retailers are opeing their doors earlier and earlier every year for Black Friday. This causes any who work in retail to miss important family time. Family they may not have seen all year or havn't seen for a few years. Mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins being only able to spend a limited amount of time with their family on a very family oriented holiday.
It is unacceptable to have employees work Thanksgiving day or be fired. It is understood that they have chosen to work in retail, but it wasnt like this. Just a few short years ago Black Friday was a real event. You had to wait till 12 a.m. the friday after Thanksgiving to rush through stores and retrieve the item you wanted. Lets put things back the way they were, Thanksgiving for family, Black Friday for amazing sales. Your cooperation is much appreciated by not only the employees, but those trying to spend time with their families and still catch great deals!
