Mel Street left us on Oct 21,1978..This man was a prime example of what Country Music was all about..Mel never had a major label deal until recording the very last album project he did titled "Just Hanging On' on Mercury Records. His many many hit's included Lovin on Backstreets,Forbidden Angel,Even if I have to Steal,If I had a cheating heart,Smokey Mountain Memories,This Time I've hurt her more,Big Blue Diamond, and of course his signature song and Country Music Standard Borrowed Angel..Among his writing credits were Lord I need somebody bad tonight,Borrowed Angel,Forbidden Angel,The Town where you live...This man should have been in the CMHoF the very first year he was eligable...Let's correct this 35 year misjustice this coming year...I ask you from the bottom of my heart for you're help by putting your signature with mine..Thank You all and God Bless.......Jerry J. Thomas
