President Donald J. Trump sent out a series of tweets on Wednesday, July 26th, 2017, essentially reinstating the ban on transgender military members that was lifted in 2016 by then Secretary of Defense, Ash Carter, under Barack Obama's administration. Not only will this prevent the future enlistments of transgender individuals, but there are an estimated 15,000 active transgender service members who will be stripped of their careers and lifestyles, and sent home with discharge papers simply due to the fact that they're different from society's strict norms. Let these people, these American citizens, fight for their country despite their country not fighting for them!
