We, the residents of the Valley Mede Community, petition the Howard County Attendance Area Committee (AAC) and the Board of Education to keep our community together - and prevent fracturing it - by allowing polygons 159 and 1159 to remain in a continuous educational feed (SJLES, PMS, MHHS) with the rest of the Valley Mede Community.
If the HoCo Board of Education moves these 2 polygons westward, our historic and firmly established community would be irrevocably fractured. Valley Mede is a community steeped in traditions that center around our community elementary, middle and high schools. Our whole community - both families who have children being separated from their schoolmates and homeowners without kids - will be impacted negatively if these polygons are moved.
We ask for your support - as a Valley Mede community resident - to join in helping to protect our entire community and maintain its strong, historic neighborhood connection to its schools.
