Switch from Styrofoam to Plastic to Save the Earth

  • by: Kassidy Neely

Everyday, 2,500 students eat lunch in the Mountain Ridge cafeteria during the afternoon. The sells of pizza is the highst among the various options, and with every slice comes a plate below it made of styrofoam, which is non-recyclable in the state of Arizona. If the buyer of lunch products in the Deer Valley Unified School District switched from styrofoam to recyclable plastic, we would be making a larger effort to reducing landfill, ultimately paying contribution to the efforts to preserve our Earth.
