Accurate prescription expiration dates

When a person gets a prescription filled, it is standard practice for pharmacies to set the use by date for one year later, regardless of what the actual expiration date set by the manufacturer is. The labels affixed to all medications should reflect the true expiration /use by date not the arbitrary 1 year date.
