Dogs Dying for Fake UGG Boots

Thinking of buying UGG-style boots this Christmas?

Be careful of any deals you find on the internet!
Investigation into the cheap, counterfeit "UGGs" available on the internet has shown that fur linings are likely coming from the Chinese raccoon dog fur industry.

These relatives of our beloved companions are SKINNED ALIVE and thrown on a heap! Some live and writhe in AGONY before death finally takes them. Additionally, domestic dogs are reportedly being shipped from Thailand to be slaughtered for use in Chinese fur and meat manufacturing.

While UGG aggressively goes after fakes and forgeries, UGG style boots are widely available, and China requires no labeling of the type of materials used in manufacturing.

Take action today and we can pressure China and Thailand to crack down on inhumane animal treatment and require labeling!

This is a correction. I mentioned that UGG aggressively goes after fakes and forgeries, but I contacted them and did not receive an answer. Original UGG boots are Ugg boots are known in Australia and New Zealand as a unisex style of sheepskin boot. They are typically made of twin-faced sheepskin with fleece on the inside, a tanned outer surface and a synthetic sole. I'm not in anyway recommending UGG boots. It is still made of animal skin - sheep and not dogs like the fake ones are.
