Financial Literacy in Duval County Schools

As a financial professional, I am seeing more and more young people under educated when it comes to personal finances. It is my goal to help put into place a Personal Finance course for students in high school. Over time I plan for this course to be mandatory for graduation.
The course will teach important information everyone needs to know before entering the workforce. Basic information including: taxes, credit, loans/interest, basic investing, employee benefits, savings/budgeting, risk management, and more.
Before presenting the plan for implementation to the school board, I would like to have a solid backing from Duval county high school students, high school alumni, and parents who believe this information is important for their kids to learn in an official capacity.
