Please sign and share this petition worldwide in an effort to stop the poaching of animals like these tigers found slaughtered in Ahmadabad, India. One of the tigers recently found was a sweet young cub! Stop these unnecessary deaths through poaching and allow these animals to live their lives as intended.

Right outside the Gir Wildlife Sanctuary near Liliya in Amreli district, a young 5-month old tiger cub was found slain with its nails and bones missing. It is apparent the tiger cub lost its life due to poaching. Prior to finding this youngster, other tigers were killed in similar ways, also found with their feet and bones missing. "In this case too, only the skull and some small bones were still intact," said an official of the team of trackers which visited the spot. Lion bones are often used as a substitute for tiger bones in traditional medicines.

Laws are implemented against poaching in India but are often difficult to enforce. With other instances of poaching, the India Forest Wardens and Personnel hope to execute programs that will reduce and eventually stop poaching. The programs will entail scheduled arms-training classes for their personnel. Deputy Conservator of Forests states that "The watchmen carry knives, foresters and beat-guards carry 12-bore guns and range officers carry revolvers. But we want to train them to use these weapons to stop poachers." They also hope to hire more vehicles to provide more beat-guards to protect the forests and the animals.

Additionally, a proposal has been made to install heat-sensitive cameras in certain areas to monitor future poaching cases. The state tourism department is planning to erect 500 air-conditioned (AC) tents in top 10 tourist destinations in view of the rising number of visitors. Efforts are being proposed but nothing has yet been finalized. Anti-Poaching Rangers And The India Forest Wardens And Staff – Please move forward in your efforts to enforce the laws against poaching. By implementing some of your proposed changes in monitoring forestry areas more diligently through scheduled arms-training classes for all forest personnel, more vehicles to provide more beat-guards, heat-sensitive cameras and other anti-poaching techniques that will save the animals from an untimely demise. Poaching is so barbaric to these beings and right next to a sanctuary that works for their care and well-being.
