We all need to wake up! Because without a doubt, the biggest enemy to the working class isn't just who our president is, it isn't even one specific political party...

The biggest enemy to the working class are politicians who sell out their constituents for money. Along with that, the second biggest enemy to the working class are multi billion dollar corporations who pay those politicians to do - not what's best for American citizens - but what's best for their company's profits. These unethical business practices are one of the MAIN reasons why we're one of the only industrialized nations not to offer our citizens free healthcare, and it's also why our income inequality is worse than almost all other developed nations.

To prove my point, I want to bring to your attention some information I found regarding Farmers Insurance Group (owned by multinational conglomerate Zurich Insurance Group, a multi BILLION dollar corporation), because I think they are a PRIME example of how big business's greed is intentionally harming middle class America. You'll also see (as I will provide sources) that because of large political donations, and even the bribery of AT LEAST two government officials, this multi billion dollar company is basically allowed to do whatever they want, even though doing so has left countless victims injured, broke, in crisis and even homeless.

In 2014, Jeff Dailey, the CEO of Farmers Insurance, made $2,617,462. Just ONE year later his salary increased by $1,539,329, which means in 2015 he made $4,156,791 dollars: FARMERS-CEOCompensation-2015.pdf. What is the reason for this MASSIVE pay increase? It's a refusal to pay out claims along with using low ball tactics, while simultaneously raising people's insurance premiums: How Farmers Insurance Cheats the Working Class. So insurance rates go up for the consumer, but the moment that customer needs their insurance, many citizens are left with nothing. Like this poor woman: http://www.coloradolaw.net/insurance-industry-10-worst-deny-claims/. Ethel Adams was in a coma, came out bound to wheelchair, her life in absolute pieces, and Farmers Insurance decided ONCE AGAIN that profit mattered more than paying out a claim. Don't just take my word for it, take a look at just SOME of the CLASS ACTION lawsuits brought against Farmers Insurance over the years: Class Action Lawsuits Against Farmers Insurance. Over and over again it's the same story, Farmers Insurance sued for cheating working class Americans, minorities, blue collar workers, etc out of their livelihoods. Could it get more disturbing than that?!

Why yes, it actually can. In order to KEEP cheating working class Americans, Farmers Insurance resorts to bribing government officials! Take this for example: Farmers Insurance Gives a Lot of Money to GOPs Greg Abbott. Again, while homeowners in crisis are left with no help in sight, Farmers Insurance continues to thrive. Imagine believing your home is insured, imagine paying your monthly premium, on time, every time, only to be left with nothing because Farmers Insurance can quite easily pay off whomever they want? To prove that bribery is a pattern for this company, just read about their handling of the Northridge Earthquake: Farmers Insurance Pays Off Government Official.

Remember, these are just two incidents of bribery that have been reported. Who knows who else Farmers and Zurich Insurance are paying off so they can continue to collect their million dollar salary increases, ALL at the expense of working class Americans. To further prove my point that this company is deceitfully robbing working class Americans, here is another example of Farmers' greed, and how their deceptive business practices are intentionally targeting the working class: Farmers Insurance Caught Overcharging Consumers. It's truly despicable what Farmers Insurance (and Zurich Insurance Group) is doing.

Looking at the salary increase of ALL the executives (see above), these people are CLEARLY profiting wildly off of vulnerable Americans' pain. And I hope you'll help me stand up against this bullying of the middle to lower class, because there just is no excuse for this destructive behavior. And Farmers Insurance (and Zurich Insurance Group) will never be held accountable by our government. Not only are they CLEARLY in the business of bribing government officials, but just take a look at the money they're using to lobby politicians: Farmers Insurance- Money Given to Politicians and Zurich Insurance - Money Given to Politicians in 2016 . Millions of dollars spent on everything but making sure the consumers who buy their insurance will be taken care of in case of an emergency. Take this poor family, left to pay a mortgage on a house that's unlivable: http://kutv.com/news/get-gephardt/bad-choice-of-words-prove-costly-for-family-of-fire-ravaged-home. When is enough, enough?

Here are even more complaints of people left with next to nothing due to pure greed on behalf of Farmers Insurance: https://www.consumeraffairs.com/insurance/farmers_auto.html and Zurich Insurance: https://www.consumeraffairs.com/insurance/zurich-north-america.html. As you read these complaints, keep in mind the CEO of Farmers walked away with a $4 MILLION dollar payday just in 2015 alone. Also remember that in 2016, Zurich Insurance Group spent over $2 million dollars lobbying mostly republican politicians. Speaking of Zurich Insurance, let's discuss a few of their board members. Catherine Bessant sits on Zurich's board, while also working for Bank of America. Bank of America was given a $45 billion dollar bailout, footed by taxpayers, and then Bank of America went on to face a class action lawsuit after they wrongfully foreclosed on thousands of people's homes: Bank of America to Face RICO, Bank of America Lied to Homeowners and Rewarded Foreclosures. Joan Amble, co-founder of W.O.M.E.N. in America, also a Zurich board member, used to work for American Express. That's right, they were ALSO sued for cheating working class Americans: American Express Fined 27.5 Million for Credit Card Cheating. So this REALLY is business as usual for them. But what about the rest of us?!

I just want to bring awareness to these ruthless and damaging business practices. Social media is a very powerful tool, and together we CAN make a difference. No company should be immune from prosecution simply because they "donate" money to politicians or bribe high ranking government officials. I think it's more than clear that Farmers Insurance (and their owner Zurich Insurance Group) are engaging in business practices that not only deceit the working class, but harm us as well. And if our government is too busy cashing checks to do something about it, than we as consumers need to step up and hold these people accountable for the horrible way they're treating working class Americans. We are the majority, and we have more power now than ever. Let's show this company that we will not be walked over so they can continue to rake in BILLIONS of dollars. It's time working class Americans came first. There's NOTHING wrong with making money, but it's time huge corporations like Farmers Insurance and Zurich Insurance Group stop making BILLIONS off the backs of hard working Americans!
