Keep Christopher A. Bayer in Prison

On may 28, 2007, Memorial Day, Laura E. Pesce-Giampino, my 20 year old daughter, my only child was brutally raped and strangled to death and then set on fire. She was burned so badly that dental records were needed to identify her.
The man who took her life, Christopher A. Bayer, was charged with Manslaughter 2 and Arson 3. He received 4-8 years in prison, although each crime he has been charged with carries a 5-15 year sentence to be served consecutively. Christopher recieved this petty sentence regardless of New York State Law because he plea bargained with the assistant district attorney in exchange for information of the where abouts of drug dealers in the area. This is appalling!!!
Christopher claims he was having rough sex and accidently strangled my daugher to death. Laura was married 5 months before she was murdered and was madly in love with her husband. Christopher's story doesn't add up! If it was an accident, why did he have excellerants with him to set her body and house on fire? All i can do at this point is try to keep my daughter's murderer in prison for another 2 years after serving only 5.6 years.

We the undersigned believe that the release of Christopher A. Bayer, the man who has pled guilty to choking Laura E. Pesce-Giampino to death before burning her body and home, after a mere 5.6 years in prison would be a complete miscarriage of justice and a danger to the community.
The law states that Christopher should serve two consecutive sentences of 5-15 years. However, due to a plea bargain, he was sentenced to a mere 4-12 years and is to be considered for parole after only 5.6 years!
Christopher wrapped his hands around his "friend" Laura's neck until there was no life left in her. Then he set her body and her home on fire and left her there, burning and lifeless. Christopher has openly confessed to these actions and should serve the full sentence for what he has done, the sentence indicated by the law!
The fact that Christopher has confessed to his crimes and exhibited good behavior while in prison does not rectify the situation, nor does it prove that he has learned anything from his short punishment. This man took a young woman’s life and tried to cover it up by setting her body and her home on fire! To release this dangerous man after such a short time would be devastating to Laura's friends, family, and community. Please keep Christopher in prison where he belongs!
