The time has come for NBC to make Lester Holt permanent Nightly News Anchor. He had work his dues and is very popular with Viewers. 

He a 'Anchor Anchor' in the since of Jennings and Brokaw. 

Brian Williams has risked NBC credibility and by bringing him back could damage it. Lester is upholding that

Lester is the hardest working person at NBC. He has done very well as Interim Nightly anchor. He is not out seeking to be a celebrity. It would not look right after 6 Months to bring Brian back and kick Lester to the curb.
