Willow Lane Farm is being harassed by SPCA, with over 10 visits of more than 5 hours long this stupidity must stop!
This petition is to gather vouchers for Matt Peredery, owner of Willow Lane Farm to prove to the board and courts that she is an educated farmer, competent in running her own farm and caring for the livestock on it. Matt is being charged both federally and provincially with 33 accounts of cruelty to animals, as the SPCA and Vet think her animals are not well taken care of.
The animals in question are shown at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, where they compete internationally. There are Vets on site and Judges handling the animals, as well as other livestock shows. The animals at Willow Lane Farm are also used for educational purposes, petting zoos and lessons.
Matt is an upstanding member of the community, providing local produce to the Independent Grocers, as well as hatching and eating eggs, meat and produce are available to the public, Hosting farm tours, educational/hatch programs for schools and science centers, teaching courses in basic farming, livestock care, maintenance and husbandry. She has extensive knowledge of animals, ranging from birds, cattle, horses, sheep, goats, insects and herbology their requirements of food, shelter and basic medical care.
Matt is educated in farming, basic Vet work, anatomy, and farrier work. She has appealed to the board regarding being able to provide basic care for the animals on her farm of which they do not want to accept. She has been farming for over 25 years, has a medical backround, and worked as an acting Vet Technician for the SPCA as well as several Vets in the Sudbury area. Matt has been practicing Farrier work for over 20 years, including oral care (Teeth floating). Matt is one of the few heritage breed poultry farmer dedicated to keeping endangered species of poultry from going extinct. She also runs a small rescue/sanctuary for horses, and other animals and plants.
