Stop draining Cuatro Ciénegas ponds in Coahuila´s dessert, México, patrimony of Humankind.

Cuatro Ciénegas is composed by a group of ponds in the middle of the dessert, it has unique endemic flora and fauna, including stromatolites, the most ancient lifeform on earth, only found still living in half a dozen places in the whole planet. Composed by nearly 200 ponds, which took houndreds of thousends years to form from mist captured by nearby hills, it´s been studied by the National Geographic Society and declared Patrimony of Humankind. Today only half a dozen ponds remain, the rest of the system is dead, including stromatolites and all this because THE PONDS ARE BEING DRAINED TO FEED COWS IN THE DESSERT. At this pace, cientifics belive they will be FOREVER GONE IN ONE YEAR.
