TX Psychology Licensing Act Deemed Unconstitutional: (http://mlserafine.com/)

The Serafine v. Branaman case formally closed, the TX Psychology Board was ordered to pay Serafine’s costs and attorneys’ fees ($48,092.25) for her successful enforcement of her 1st Amendment civil rights under the U.S. Constitution. The court also entered an injunction against the Board’s further enforcement of those portions of the Psychologists’ Licensing Act that had been struck down as unconstitutional.

ADOPTED: Issue 1: Eliminate the statutory authority for the psychology board to administer an oral exam.
ADOPTED: Issue 2: Remove the statutory requirement for psychologists to earn half of their supervised work experience after receiving their Ph.D.
