DURHAM SKATEBOARDERS HAVE NOWHERE TO GO

People should care, myself as a skateboarder and my fellow riders have nowhere to pursue our love for the sport around  us. Hockey, soccer, lacrosse seems to be the only sports that matters to our community considering the amount of space and enviroment they have to pursue their sport. But what about the skateboarders? We have 2 skateparks in town... Mckinney, old, ran down, cracks everywhere which makes it hard to skate and all together no longer fun. Iroquois, now known as DJV, a memorial skatepark for a fellow skateboarder that has passed away a couple years back. The park has seen better days. 2 years ago, renovations have been made to decrease the amount of cracks that were created over the years, but the park still will never compare to the enviroment that belongs to hockey players, because it seems to us that they are much more important. Whitby seems to be the only town who doesnt take care for their skateboarders, Ajax, ARC was made 2 summers ago and recieves a tremendous amount of daily visits, by our skateboarders all arround GTA. Oshawa, Donevan skatepark, amazing. Non Dons, amazing. Whitby, doesnt compare.
Whitby's one and only Cullen Gardens, a nice beautiful forest with trails, rivers etc... For some reason, they have decided to invest into creating a spa in Cullen Gardens, but for what? Who's idea was this? Look arround us Durham, we have multiple different varietys of spas, so why make another one when we could stand out and have something we've never had, like an Indoor skatepark! So in conclusion, all my fellow skateboarders and myself want is an indoor area, in whitby, that includes, proper skatepark ground, with a couple ramps, rails and ledges. Is that too much to ask?
