No Georgia Prison For Russian Beluga Whale

A Georgie Aquarium is in a legal battle regarding the import of some Beluga whales from Russia which would remove these animals from their natural home and pod family. The aquarium argues that the whales would be well-cared for despite being in captivity but the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Marine Fisheries Service, known as NOAA Fisheries had concerns. They say that the aquarium failed to meet some requirements of the Marine Mammal Protection Act.

It is not in the best interest of the Beluga whales from Russia to be transported all the way to the confinement of an aquarium in Georgia.  The Marine Mammal Protection Act is deemed to protect marine mammals from being imported, especially for public display. 

We do not want these Russian Beluga Whales to be prisoners in this Georgia Aquarium and are urging that they not be transported from their natural  Help us to keep these Beluga whales in their Russian waters rather than be transported to the confinement of a Georgia Aquarium by signing and sharing this petition.

Please ensure that the Beluga whales in Russia are not to be imported and become prisoners in a Georgia Aquarium.  Save these animals from a life of confinement and allow them to live in their natural habitat.
