Oppose Loud Music At Night Near Emory Oaks

The restaurant next to Emory Oaks applied for a permit that would allow it to play loud music until 3:00 am. The Emory Oaks Board of Director officially opposes this late-night nuisance.

We encourage you to sign the present petition, contact our county commissioners and attend the two public hearings listed below. Being seen in numbers at these hearings is important.

Dear DeKalb County Commissioners,

On behalf of Emory Oaks condominium residents and owners, I would like to call your attention to permit application SLUP-17-21417.

In previous years, residents have often suffered in the middle of the night from loud music coming from the nearby restaurant. Therefore, the Emory Oaks Board strongly opposes the above application, which would allow the new business owner to disrupt our sleep and thereby harm our families.

We respectfully request that you turn down SLUP-17-21417 and do everything in your power to discourage businesses from playing loud music next to our residential area, now and in the future.

Please find attached a signed petition and a map showing how close the business is from our condos.

Sincerely,

Bernard Lassegue
