Colorado: Pardon Those Convicted on Outdated Pot Laws!

  • by: Kristi Arnold
  • recipient: John Hickenlooper, Colorado Governor

Now that pot is legal in Colorado, it seems pretty unfair that people who were sentenced to jail terms a few years ago are still being punished. Let's ask Governor Hickenlooper to fix this loophole in the law.

People whose lives have been destroyed by selling an ounce of pot shouldn't have to wait for years in jail cells as Coloradans now take part in identical activity, legally.

The President and Governor Hickenlooper should both consider commuting sentences for people guilty of buying or selling small amounts of marijuana.

Sign now to close this ridiculous legal loophole and get pot offenders out of jail in Colorado!

Dear Governor Hickenlooper,

We the undersigned believe that now that pot is legal in Colorado, it seems pretty unfair that people who were sentenced to jail terms a few years ago are still being punished. We ask that you fix this loophole in the law.
