It is March 2015 and our rent has gone UP and my uncle still does not have a part time job to make ends meet.
This is a petition by my uncle/roommate Roger Batchelder. HE NEEDS A JOB NOW---WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF RESERVE MONEY and OUR DISABILITY PAYMENTS WILL NOT COVER ALL OUR EXPENSES. WE ARE NOT IN ANY CONDITION TO MOVE!
IF WE DON'T HAVE HIM A PART TIME JOB BY JUNE 2015, WE MAY BE HOMELESS!
UPDATE: March 2015
We thought we would be homeless by the month of February, but fortunately I was able to help keep our home by contributing more of my own disability benefits-check for some expenses. However, last month, OUR RENT WENT UP $100.00! WE CANNOT MOVE! We need to keep our apartment; our budgets are figure to the last cent.

Since the private sector is not creating enough jobs, it is high time that the public sector stepped in to meet the people's NEED for jobs. FDR showed that it CAN be done, creating over 10 million jobs in the last depression.
We are both disabled, and Social Security doesn't really make ends meet. We can squeak by if I find a part-time job, but the job market is the worst I've seen in my 60+ years! We're afraid of losing our apartment! As of March 2015, OUR SITUATION HAS NOT CHANGED! And our rent has gone UP! My uncle still cannot find work; he and I have BOTH looked and looked for something appropriate and advertised his skills and resume. Still NOTHING. We need a jobs program!
