American Airlines has contracted with the Australian Vaccination Network, Inc. (AVN, Inc.) via their sales team at Altitude Media to air an interview on the issue of vaccination for the months of July and August.
Vaccination is a controversial issue but it is also a vital one with increasing numbers of serious side effects such as autism, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, food allergies, asthma, eczema and other chronic conditions being linked to its administration.
The AVN never has and never will tell anyone that they should or should not be vaccinated, but vaccination is a health procedure and as such, it is vital that decisions are made taking all available information into account. We believe that there are two sides to this debate and there is a vast and powerful medical and pharmaceutical lobby trying to prevent access to information on the downside of vaccine administration.

Re: AVN Interview for Executive Report: suppression of free speech
Dear American Airlines executive, media and customer relations,
It has come to my attention that an interview has been conducted with Meryl Dorey, President of the Australian Vaccination Network, Inc. which was due to air in July and August, 2012.
I also understand that there is an orchestrated effort by pharmaceutically funded medical trade organizations and individuals opposed to critical thinking who wish to demonize all those, who want an open and civil conversation about vaccination and health.
These efforts are in opposition to everything that America stands for and are in direct contravention to the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. In a word, the attempt to stifle public debate on a vital health issue is immoral and un-American.
I am writing to ask you to keep this interview on your program and to not give in to the blackmail exerted by those who have a vested interest in ensuring that scientifically-sourced information about vaccination and child health is not available for those who are seeking it.
American Airlines was planning to run this interview via it's in-flight "Executive Report" radio and the "American Way" in-flight magazine.
Citing peer-reviewed research, Ms. Dorey provides information about:
1. The link between vaccines and autism – a link that is verified in the medical literature and one which has contributed to a rate of autism in the United States that has increased from 1:10,000 20 years ago to 1:88 today
2. The fact that the whooping cough vaccination is no longer protective against the most common strains of the b. pertussis bacteria and in fact, may have been instrumental in the emergence of a more toxic and virulent strain which is causing increased morbidity and mortality in the US and elsewhere
3. This interview allows your listeners to discover the fact that vaccines are only being tested by the drug companies who license them with no independent oversight on the part of government regulators. It also states that placebo-controlled trials with inert controls are not being done (this is the gold-standard of medical testing) and that the government needs to take a stand on making sure the proper science is available for those who are trying to make a decision for their own children. In addition, the AVN and other vaccine-safety groups have been urging the government to conduct trials on the overall health of the fully vaccinated as compared with the fully-unvaccinated – something which, believe it or not, has never been done.
The opponents of this interview cite a public warning issued by the NSW Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC) against the AVN. What they have failed to inform you of is the fact that in February, 2012, the NSW Supreme Court found that the HCCC had acted illegally in issuing that warning and the warning has since been removed and costs were awarded against the HCCC in favour of the AVN.
The AVN has existed since 1994 and has always operated on a volunteer-basis. Our membership consists of doctors, natural healthcare providers and parents – many of whom have had children injured or killed by vaccinations. They believe that it is a parent’s right to make important health decisions for their families and that these decisions should be made freely with the best available information from a broad range of sources.
Suppression of information and censorship of public debates do not help the general public. In fact, the Founding Fathers of the United States were well aware of the pressure special interests could bring to bear on such issues and opposed these attempts to block access to data by enacting a Constitution and a Bill of Rights that would protect this sort of communication.
By giving your passengers the right to hear this information for themselves and to then make a decision to be better informed, you are upholding the American ethic of democracy, freedom and equal rights for all.
I urge you to keep Ms. Dorey’s segment in your July-August programming.
