October 1st, 2016 my family was on their way to pick me up from work. Next thing I know Im finding out my daughter had been shot. 3 men by the names of Leroy Carrizales, Leonel Lopez, & a 3rd to whom we are waiting to find out who decided to change my familys life. Our vehicle was shot all around from the sides & the back. Now remember my family was in our truck so that meant my husband & our 3 children were in the vehicle when all the shooting was happening. At that time my oldest daughter Mariah was shot she was only 7 years old. Not only was she shot but she was shot to her head, which we all know is very serious. She was then flown to the Hospital & we found out that the bullet did enter & exit her skull. The moment I saw her before she was flown my heart was breaking, not knowing if within that very moment was going to be my last. She fought for about 2 weeks in the hospital in ICU. Our familys world change from that moment. Everyday is a blessing to have her with us but not just her but my whole family. It is almost a year & we are still waiting on Justice. Please help me stand up for my daughter. No family should go through this. This man and the other 2 shooters don't deserve freedom for trying to take my family's lives.
