World Governments, Ratify the UN Arms Trade Treaty

The United Nations Arms Trade Treaty would regulate the international trade in weapons and save thousands, maybe millions of lives. When ratified, it will regulate the sale of both large and small armaments including guns, tanks, combat airplanes, and ships of war. This treaty might finally usher in an era of world peace.

What is not to love about the Arms Trade Treaty? Forty nations have ratified it, and only ten more are needed. Surprisingly, Canada is one country which is dragging its feet. Russia, China, Egypt, Kenya, and Ukraine also have yet to ratify this peace-bringing measure.

Tell these world powers to step up to the plate and take responsibility for making the world safer for their own children and those of others!

To the world governments that have not yet signed the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty:

We the undersigned are saddened that you have not yet done your part to bring about peace in our time. The best way to ensure a peaceful future for our children is to sign and ratify this treaty. Forty nations have already had the good sense to do so. It is now your turn to do the right thing. Please take the earliest opportunity to ratify the Arms Trade Treaty!
