High School 101 is a high school course taken by 9th graders at Pepperell High School in Lindale, GA. It teaches about real life skills, like Time Management, Choices and Consequences, Money Management, Financial Literacy, and People Skills. My teacher, Alana Ellenburg, teaches this course. She teaches students how to fill out a resume, how to fill out an applications, and how to go on an interview. Ms. Ellenburg even holds Mock Job Interviews, where she brings in 50-60 business professionals over the course of 2 days, and lets her students "Mock Interview" these professionals so they will understand how to do it when the students go on a real interview. Several students have come back to her when they are seniors, or even in college, saying, "Thank you so much. I went on an interview, and because of your class, I got the job." Help us to spread High School 101 throughout the county, and soon, throughout Georgia.
