The long, 8-month lead-up to the October 27 Mayoral election has seen the same five faces essentially rehash their campaign lines at debates all over the city, but none of these candidates has been forced to account thoroughly for their plans, or in the case of Mayor Ford, for his alleged achievements.
We, the voters of Toronto, deserve real facts upon which to base our decision.
Over the last few months, Ari Goldkind has emerged as the only candidate with a tangible, credible plan for a sound future. He has been covered by a wide variety of Toronto media and has been gaining traction as a candidate of substance.
We, the voters of Toronto feel we deserve to hear Ari's position, but equally importantly, we deserve to hear Ari cross-examine the other candidates, who have escaped with catchphrases and vague promises for too long.
We feel the inclusion of Ari Goldkind on the stage will guarantee a vibrant and responsible debate, delivering a superior level of discussion. Ari is an excellent and experienced speaker, and is perfectly suited to help the voters of Toronto encourage the "big five" candidates to account for their platforms honestly and thoroughly.
