Let the punishment fit the crime stop 3 strikes out law

People are going to jail for life for a little bit of nothing for life because of their prior record.their serving time over again for what they've already been punshied for this law is aimed at the under pilveraged and the disttitue.even if their innocent they will plead guilty to avoid a life sentence they will take a deal . people are serving life in prisons that shouldn't even be there. A criminal case should be tried on an individual basis and based on the crime not the 3 strikes law.that law goes to far .and people are being hijacked and thrown in prison they don't have money for a lawyer and get a public defender who does everything but defend their clients and are just token lawyers to say the defendant has a lawyer the public defender doesn't have the defendants best interest in mind and throws the defendant to the wolves while really working with the prosecutor.the system is quite unjust.its time to end the 3 strikes law they lock poor people away.and throw away the key.the punishment should fit he crime.
