Keep The Andean World of J. M. Arguedas in the curriculum!

The Spanish and Latin American Studies department currently only offers a single module looking at the indigenous of Latin America: The Andean World of J. M. Arguedas. They are now threatening to cut this. Both those of us who took this module, and those in the department, should be concerned about how the indigenous of Latin America are almost completely ignored within our curriculum. This is a move even further in the wrong direction.

Despite low numbers, Humberto has put together an incredibly interesting module, combining literature and anthropology with manageable readings. He himself is passionate and knowledgeable, and 100% goes the extra mile to support his students. It would be a tragedy to lose such a high quality module.

I urge everyone who wants to see a diverse range of modules at SELCS and UCL to sign this in order to keep the module going.
