STOP KILLING INNOCENT WILD ANIMALS IN CAPTIVITY

This morning I turned on the news to see an Elephant had been killed in a South African safari park due to a British couple getting their car flipped by the elephant.

I watched the footage of the elephant ‘flipping’ the tourist’s car, and you can see they were clearly getting too close to the animal.

After seeing this on the news I began looking online at the articles where the couple claim ‘they’re lucky to be alive’, after reading the comments other people had left I knew this was a problem that needs addressing.

The tourist were practically tailgating the elephant, they have entered the elephants home and provoked the elephant. Here is a quote off one website I found “The person who filmed the attack, who wished to remain anonymous, told News 24 it looked like the tourists had been trying to drive past the elephant but it was clear the elephant was agitated.” This just shows the stupid behaviour that people carry out when visiting safari parks.

Animals are put down when they ‘misbehave’ because it could easily become a pattern of behaviour, THIS NEEDS TO STOP! Animals are WILD for a reason, they fight in the WILD, it’s a way of life for them and they shouldn’t be kept in captivity!

Safari parks need to enforce fines and punishments for when people mistreat, enrage or bully animals for their own pleasure or just for a ‘closer’ photo!

With this petition i would like to gain two things for the sake of animals and the wildlife; firstly I believe we NEED to STOP killing animals and send them back into the wild, where they belong! and Secondly Safari Parks are always going to exist so we NEED to enforce RULES and LAWS which result in fines or criminal offences to people who disregard the rules, laws and animals safety and welfare.
