The haze is back. On Friday morning, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia woke to the burning smell of haze. Memories of last years crisis returned as the PSI in Singapore crossed 200.

Last year the haze crisis, killed about 30 induviduals and causing over 500,000 non fatal injuries in Indonesia itself. Sports and schools were affected regularly across South East Asia for over 5 months.

This haze crisis occurs each year in the dry season from Late June to early November/Decmber. The haze is caused due to a few selfish idiotic money minded bastards who are burning down forests for palm oil plantaions in Kalimantan and Sumatra.. The slash and burn method is very economical for these companies especially during the dry season. Not only are these companies affecting the rich biodiversity of Borneo and Sumatra, but are affecting the health of millions of people.
