December 19th, 2014 the Toronto Raptors announced a new logo design inspired by Canadian "rapper" Drake. He was a child actor on a Canadian kids tv show and had an upper class life despite claiming he "started at the bottom". Either way, now he's here and he's trying to destroy the franchise even more. His logo design is a carbon copy of the Brooklyn Nets logo. This is wrong on many levels, especially to actual NBA fans let alone hardcore Raptor fans. The logo isn't unique, creative or attractive... much like Drake's career & general presence. Even Drake's Masonic owl is offended by this logo creation. Join me and reject this horrible logo, together we can help undo Drake's global damage.
UPDATE: Drake, known as a bit of a front-runner (except for the Raptors, who he supported even when they were bad) responded, distancing himself from the process, a process only a few days earlier he had eagerly talked up, insinuating a sizable role in the process. Drake tweeted, “Actually this redesign was executed without me. My collaboration with Mitchell & Ness comes out next season.”
