We are truly living in the age of reboots and series revivals. There’s no denying it. From Prison Break to Twin Peaks to the X-Files and even Gilmore Girls, reboots and series revivals have become an unexpected mainstay in today’s culture. So why not bring back a beloved sci-fi series that still has over 3.9 million fans clamoring for its return? Why not bring back Fringe?
Fringe is an American sci-fi television series created by J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. It premiered on Fox on September 9, 2008 and concluded on January 18, 2013, after five seasons and 100 episodes. The series introduced us to fan favorites such as the ever vigilant Olivia Dunham, the jack-of-all-trades Peter Bishop, the loveably off-beat Walter Bishop, and the faithful Astrid Farnsworth.
Fringe became part of the fabric of pop culture due to its incredible ability to blend classical sci-fi storytelling with deeply rooted character development and unwavering charm. Given the landscape of compelling TV shows currently in production, Fringe would fit right into the mix, capturing the hearts of old and new fans alike.
