We want the national Forest Campground Albert Pike re-opened for over night camping

We want the National Forest Campground Albert Pike opened for over night camping!! In 2010 a flash flood hit Camp Albert Pike killing 20 people. Because of this natural disaster the camp ground has been closed to overnight camping and the improvement that were being made to the campgrounds, using our tax dollars, has been halted with no sign of beginning again. During the last 4 years the park has been allowed to run down and be overgrown with weeds!! The sections that have been opened for day use are not being kept up. Trash is everywhere, the one restroom that is open for use is not being maintained or kept clean. We want the Park repaired and opened for public use as it was before 2010.

Dear Sir or Madam:

Enclosed you will find a copy of the petition to reopen Albert Pike Campground for overnight camping.  This petition contains 1,073 signatures.  These signatures are from people who do not understand why the USFS has not reopened this campground since the tragic flood of 2010.  Enough time has passed to make a decision regarding this area.  Instead, it has become an overgrown, weed-infested waste of taxpayers' money.  Please consider the desires of the majority of people who wish to once again enjoy an area that has held much history and good memories for so many families!

Thank you for your consideration in the matter!
