Ask the government to support human rights in Colombia

In Colombia, death threats and violence against indigenous people are common.  Additionally, coal mining is leading to environmental and health hazards and militarization of indigenous lands, which can lead to displacement.  Though there is a strong Canadian presence in Colombia, the Canadian government is failing to do its part to support human rights in Colombia.

The Assembly of First Nations are calling for Canada to do its part in helping to protect the rights of the Colombian people. Since Canadian companies have much invested in Columbia, the Canadian government needs to recognize the situation in Colombia and take measures to protect the indigenous people's rights.

Tell the Canadian Government to step up and support human rights in Colombia.
