GIVE DERBY A SWIMMING POOL BACK

For as long as I can remember Derby has had a number of swimming pools for us to use whether it be babies having their first taste of a pool, children having swimming lessons, all the schools in Derby benefitted from use of the pools, teenagers chasing and young adults realising Olympic dreams, Adults keeping fit and the older generations enjoying a casual swim.

Through the running down of Moorways and unfortunate issues, for one reason or another that haven't been addressed concerning Queen Streets roof, we are left without a pool to serve the City of Derby.

This is unacceptable and every generation from children to senior citizens are suffering.

It is in the Council's hands and the Council need to act promptly in the short term by opening the recently closed Moorways immediately and ensuring whatever needs to be done is done to repair and reopen Queen Street Leisure Centre as I'm sure the public will agree a pool for Derby will be far more appreciated and utilised than another pointless sculpture.

Please SIGN and SHARE this petition we aim to present it to the council on 31st May

Many Thanks
